Here is a very simple and fast pie crust with ONLY Butter !! Oui oui
Now with this crust I make salty pies like quiche or vegetable pies but also French apple tarts, lemon meringue pies, fudge pies. Guaranteed to be Delicious ALL the TIME !
1 1/2 cups of flour ( now you can use only white, i often do 1 cup of white 1/2 of whole wheat, or you can do complete whole wheat and add flax seeds)
1/2 cup of cold butter
cold icy water (I put water in a cup and add ice cubes)
I use my food processor.
1. Put flour and salt in a food processor
2. Cut butter and add to flour.
3. Mix until crumbly
4. add icy cold water
5. Mix until it comes together. DO NOT OVERMIX.
